“Arte Sacra Merendoni” production and sale of sacred art in olive wood was founded in Foligno in the vicinity of Assisi in 1994 by craftsman Antonio Merendoni, who from his young age came into contact with the precious olive wood, a symbol of peace, which the Umbrian land offers with vigor.

In the first period, the firm made small objects such as: sacred images, Tau, crucifixes and small sculptures. It is only in 2000, with the advent of the Holy Year, that the great passion for craftsmanship converts the company from producing small souvenirs to making liturgical objects for the Holy Mass.

It is the juxtaposition of olive wood, with its beautiful veining, and gold-dipped metals that give rise to one-of-a-kind works of art.
